The older, smarter auger aliassime aims to play back to our Open semifinals
Felix Auger-Aliassime laughed at Arthur Ashe Stadium after his latest win in New York.
He told the crowd in the win’s direct sales: “It feels even better than the first time.”
The 25-year-old from Montreal has just returned to the U.S. Open quarterfinals for the second time in his career, and four years after he did so, a 21-year-old who has put the world rankings to the final career-high sixth place.
“It feels more to be true,” Auger-Aliassime, now World No. 27, said in an interview Monday night that he beat 15 seeds of Andrey Rublev in every moment in 16 rounds of straightforward 16 rounds.
