Djokovic’s neck bothers him in our fourth round

NEW YORK – Novak Djokovic cruised during the fourth round of the U.S. Open Sunday night when his neck began to bother him.

Djokovic was 4-0 in the qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff at No. 144, when he won a good tilt shooter title, ranking 30 in that game. The 24-time Grand Slam champion immediately grabbed the back of his neck and began to turn his head.

Djokovic has been trying to stretch his neck or bend his right shoulder and continue to give up that and the next one.

But he quickly won the championship against Struff, who beat Frances Tiafoe in the last round and tried to make his first quarter-finals.

The winner of Djokovic vs. Struff will be in the quarterfinals with 2024 US Open runner-up Taylor Fritz.

The fourth seed Fritz was the last American in brackets, reaching the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 victory.

Djokovic ended the opening ceremony against Stroof 6-3 and was visited by the coach during the subsequent conversion. Djokovic was massaged on his neck and shoulders.

If he still feels uncomfortable, his game hasn’t really been affected, and Djokovic caught the second game with the same score. During the break after that game, Djokovic massaged his right forearm.

The 38-year-old Djokovic also trained him earlier in the game, which included blisters of the first round casters, and issues with the third lower defender.

Recently, he won four championships in 2023.
